Luxembourg-based court gave historic decision against Microsoft. Microsoft faces a major defeat in the antitrust case brought by the European commission.
The court supported the commission’s argument that the Microsoft abused its dominant position in the market. Microsoft’s stand on the point of interoperability was objected by commission and the court decided in the favor of commission ,commission  wanted Microsoft to share only the system protocols, and not its source code against Microsoft’s point  that interoperability will create only the copy of Microsoft.Commission`s next point was related to Bundling.

Microsoft was bundling two products together: the window operating system and it’s the window media player, this time court upheld the commission’s decision on the bases of community law. Commission charged Microsoft with $613 million. It was due to commission as its part of March order. Bad luck for Microsoft court supported commission’s charge and now Microsoft is suppose to pay such a big amount of fine. Microsoft can appeal in the court of justice against the Luxembourg court decision.
